    On 11th September, our Voluntary, Community & Faith Sector Health & Wellbeing Forum focused on people’s experiences of the Continuing Healthcare (CHC) assessment and how, with Sheffield CCG and our local authority, we can improve the process

    We've spoken to carers across the city about what it's like when they visit their GP. We've found some key areas where carers need more support - to look after their physical and mental wellbeing, to help them access wider resources, and more.

    SACMHA delivers a specialist service to people in need of health & social care support. Their roots are in the local African Caribbean community, and they wanted to explore this group's experiences with local home care services.

    Autism Hope are a support group for parents and carers of children with autism. They are based in North Sheffield and meet weekly, providing a space for friendship, understanding and support

    ACCT is a parent and carer-led support group for autistic children and young people and their families in Sheffield. They run social and activity groups for a variety of age groups, as well as regular peer support meetings for parent-carers.

    In 2021 we awarded small grants to 12 local voluntary, community, and not-for-profit organisations. They helped us to hear from over 790 people in Sheffield about important issues in health and social care. Find out about this year's projects.
