Since 2018 we've been reporting that Deaf people don't always have equal access to healthcare in Sheffield. Now, we've received further commitments from Sheffield's Hospitals about how they plan to address issues with accessible information.

We've published our latest report, asking parents of children with a recessive genetic disorder about the support they received. So - how do people get information and support when their child is diagnosed, and is this delivered in the right way?

Recessive Genetic Conditions are wide-ranging and often misunderstood. We spoke to parents of children affected by recessive conditions about the support they've received, as well as asking professionals how confident they felt in providing support.
