Enter & View

Enter & View is one of many ways we can hear from local people about the services they and their loved ones use in Sheffield. Find out more about what this means.

What is Enter & View?

Healthwatch Sheffield has the right to visit any service where health or social care is funded by public money. This includes hospitals, GP surgeries, dentists, opticians, care homes and day centres. The visits can either be announced or unannounced.

Our volunteer Enter and View Authorised Representatives visit to see and hear for themselves how services are provided. They are there to listen to the views of staff, services users and their families, and to give them a say in how services are designed and run.

Where have we visited?

We have visited a range of services across the city. You can browse our reports on our website:

Who are our Authorised Representatives?

Our Authorised Representatives are volunteers. They undertake training and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check in order to take part in visits.

How can I get involved?

We visit health and social care services partly based on feedback we receive from the public. If you would like to tell us about an experience you or a loved one have had at a particular service, please get in touch.

You could also become a volunteer with us and help us to carry out Enter & View visits. Get in touch to find out more.
