VCF Forum March 2018 - Addressing Loneliness

Loneliness and social isolation affect so many people in our society and we know that the voluntary sector have been tackling these issues for years and have many valuable insights and ideas to share.

Our VCF (Voluntary, Community, and Faith sector) Forums bring together decision makers, members of the public, and those working across voluntary and statutory organisations. We discuss topics related to the health & wellbeing of local people. Find out more here.

Addressing loneliness

We welcomed guest speakers Natasha Wilson from Age UK Sheffield and Jo Eckersley from Sheffield Flourish. We heard about the work that they do to combat loneliness, and led activities for attendees to explore this themselves. We asked people to map out a totally disconnected city, which highlighted the things that are really important to connect us to each other, and how we can support these solutions.
