In September, we visited the fantastic Sheffield Voices group at a coffee morning at Morrisons community room to hear about people’s experiences of using health and social care services in the city.

Patients across England will now benefit from a new NHS safety rule designed to catch serious illnesses earlier. Known as Jess’s Rule, the rule aims to speed up diagnoses and prevent avoidable deaths.

NHS England has introduced a new patient charter, called “You and Your General Practice”, which sets out your rights and responsibilities when using GP services. From October, every GP practice must show this charter to help patients understand how to get the best care from their surgery.

This survey looks at the experiences of people who stayed at least one night in hospital as an inpatient in November 2024. Find out what people said nationally - and how this compares to Sheffield.
