Our Annual Report: How we made a difference in 2018-19

Our annual report is a chance to show you the work we’ve been doing and how it’s made a difference to people in Sheffield.

Today we're publishing our Annual Report, which is our chance to show you how your feedback is having an impact locally as well as nationally.

This year was busier than ever, and we're really proud of the difference we've made. We'd like to thank everyone who makes this possible by sharing their experiences with us, as well as those who help us to put people at the heart of health and social care.

Some of our highlights:

  • We heard from even more people in 2018-19. 3,270 people told us about their experiences of health & social care, which is more than double the number from the year before.
  • We published reports and briefings on a wide range of issues – from young people’s sense of self-worth, to mental health support in the community, home care services, and more. Combined, our 20 reports and briefings made 36 recommendations to providers and commissioners of services to improve care for local people.
  • Our volunteers got involved in a huge range of activities. They helped to award small grants, carried out ‘Enter & View’ visits in care homes across Sheffield, talked to people across the city about their experiences of health and care, and much more. In total, 44 volunteers gave 550 hours of their time.
