The Healthwatch Sheffield team

This week we're marking some changes to our staff team. Find out more about what's next for Healthwatch Sheffield.

This week we are saying goodbye to our Chief Officer, Lucy Davies. She is leaving for a new role, and the Healthwatch Sheffield team wish her the best of luck.

Lucy has led the team for 6 years, during which time we've seen a lot of change - restructures of the NHS, securing a new contract with Sheffield City Council, and many changes and improvements in the way we work to reach out to more people across Sheffield.

"The Healthwatch Sheffield team, and our wider VAS colleagues, want to say a huge thank you to Lucy for her hard work over the last 6 years.

She's had a great positive impact, through her dedication to the importance of public voice and her advocacy for those experiencing poor health outcomes, but also through her personal support to our team.

We will miss her but know she'll do great work in her new role, and we are looking forward to the new challenges and opportunities ahead of us."

Laura Cook, new Head of Healthwatch Sheffield

What's next for Healthwatch Sheffield?

Our existing staff team has a wealth of skills and experience doing the work that Healthwatch does best. As such, we are not recruiting for a new Chief Officer; instead we are developing on roles already in the team. Our team now looks like this:

Laura Cook - formerly our Policy & Evidence Coordinator - is stepping into the role of Head of Healthwatch Sheffield. She will lead the team, as well as working closely with senior leadership in VAS (our host organisation Voluntary Action Sheffield) to guide the longer term strategic direction of public voice and involvement work in the city.

Holly Robson - formerly our Operational Support Officer - is now the Healthwatch Sheffield Operations Manager

Winnie Lutakome and Sarah Fowler remain our Community Outreach Leads. Sarah has recently returned to the team after a secondment post.

Anna Harman remains our Information & Advice Officer.

Mina Clarke remains our Project Support Assistant.

We also continue to be supported by our dedicated network of volunteers, including our Strategic Advisory Group
