Could you join our Strategic Advisory Group?

We are looking for two new members of Healthwatch Sheffield’s Strategic Advisory Group. These volunteers help to shape and guide our work, and are an important part of our team.

Healthwatch Sheffield has a growing reputation as an effective voice for patients and citizens in the city. Our Strategic Advisory Group is an amazing group of volunteers who are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of all Sheffield’s citizens and acting as a positive ambassador for Healthwatch Sheffield, representing its interests with partners and members of the public.

We are currently looking for two new members to join this dynamic group.

We welcome interest from people from a broad range of backgrounds; with strong people skills, able to work with others to set strategic direction and experienced at contributing effectively to meetings.

We especially encourage applications from people who identify with or have worked with communities whose voices are not always heard – for example, Black Asian and minority ethnic communities, young people, LGBTQ and disabled people. We are also looking for someone with clinical experience to contribute to discussions about services, policies and with health and social care systems.

Having knowledge and/or experience of health and/or social care as a service user or carer is particularly valuable to the role.

Time and commitment required to carry out the responsibilities of the role is around 1-2 days per month.
