Sheffield Health and Social Care Trust have a new name
If you are an adult in Sheffield and use services that support with mental health, learning disabilities, autism, or dementia, you may be receiving care from Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust. This organisation provides a range of specialist NHS services covering these areas of health and more.
In September 2025, the Sheffield Health and Social Care Trust changed their name. They are now called Sheffield Health Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.
What's changed?
The services provided by Sheffield Health Partnership University have not changed. However, it is important for patients and families to know about their new name, as this is what they will begin to call themselves in letters, phone calls, and other contact they have with patients.
Their website has a new address: https://www.sheffieldpartnership.nhs.uk/. In time, the Trust will update things like signage on their buildings, and staff name badges. Email addresses for individuals, departments, and patient/public enquiries might change too.
Why have they changed their name?
The name change reflects the fact that the Trust has University Hospital status. This links to work they do in research, teaching, and evidence-based care.
