Have your say on a Spiritual & Wellbeing Ambassador role

Do you know people who would like to be involved in developing a new service?

Sheffield City Council's Mental Health Commissioning Team want to hear from users of mental health services. They are planning a new role, called a Spiritual & Wellbeing Ambassador, who would aim to support people who attend hospital in crisis.

The idea is to have a group of volunteer Ambassadors to be available for people to talk to, offering reassurance and support, as well as some spiritual support. If they are of the same faith, the Ambassador may offer practical one to one support (such as praying or reading scripture). The Ambassadors will be there to be a calming & kind influence to people who want it or require it.

The Mental Health Commissioning Team is inviting you to an open event with  refreshments and plenty of breaks.
