Job Vacancy – Healthwatch Sheffield Engagement Officer

As Healthwatch Sheffield Engagement Officer you will have a direct impact on shaping health and social care in Sheffield, with a particular focus on children, young people and students.

You will coordinate and run Young Healthwatch, recruiting members and volunteers and develop a programme of activities with the group to increase children and young people’s voice and influence in shaping health and care services. You will carry out engagement activities in communities and develop productive relationships with health and social care providers.

You will also work closely with the Universities to increase student voice and influence in health and care services.

You will need excellent time management and organisational skills to progress multiple priorities to deadlines. You will also need to have a passion for working creatively, using a range of different communication methods to gather views, to present them in a compelling way and to demonstrate how your findings have impacted on service design and/or provision.

We are a small and dynamic team, focused on team and personal development. In addition to your core role, you will be expected to get involved with all elements of the work of Healthwatch Sheffield as the need arises.
