Not Equal: Our Next Workshops

Come to our workshops to hear health and social care professionals respond to recommendations raised in our report Not Equal: the experiences of Deaf people accessing health and social care services in Sheffield

Following our investigation into the experiences of Deaf people accessing health and social care in Sheffield, we have invited local commissioners and providers of health and social care to share their responses to our recommendations with local Deaf and hearing people.

The workshops will be held here at The Circle on the following dates, with BSL interpreters in attendance:

Wednesday 28th February 6pm-8pm
Thursday 1st March 10am-12pm

We’d really like to hear about some examples of good communication practice at these events – if you have a case study that you would like to share, please let us know.

GP website health check

We analysed 74 GP practice websites to see whether patients across Sheffield can access services online. We found a widely varying picture across the city.
Members of the public have been telling us that they struggle to contact their GP practice by phone. However, GP practice websites don't always support people to use online services instead.
