Health & Care Public Forum (Sheffield) meeting

Our meetings
Online
Tuesday 13th December, 2022 - 13:00 to 14:30

About this event

The Health and Care Public Forum is one of the ways we connect people with professionals working to change health and care services for the better.

The Forum is a group of members of the public, patients and carers who use NHS and/or social care services in Sheffield.

The group meets monthly on Zoom (online), to share their views on work taking place to improve health and social care, so they can influence it in some way.

We are looking for members of the public to come to our next meeting.

You don’t have to come to all of our meetings - you can join us on a one-off basis if a topic interests you.

Our next meeting

Tuesday 13th December 2022, 1.00-2.30pm

We will be discussing:

  • Long Covid Project
An update on Healthwatch Sheffield and Voluntary Action Sheffield’s Long Covid Project, including what the project is trying to achieve and how it will get there. The project aims to inform what care and support will be like for people with Long Covid in Sheffield in the future.
  • Team Around the Person (TAP) model
This is a person-centred, joined-up, preventative approach to care, which is being rolled out across the city. People from different teams and sectors all come together to work with people who have multiple needs to work with them on what matters to them. We will discuss the project and how people using the service and their families/carers can give feedback that can be used to make improvements.
