The Health & Care Public Forum is the new name of the IAC Forum (find out more) - a group of regular volunteers who talk about upcoming changes in health and social care, and share their views to influence decision-makers.
You don't have to be a regular member to join in. Each month the group is keen to hear from people interested in the specific topics for that meeting. This month we'll be joined by Jo Tsoneva, Pharmacy Development Manager at NHS South Yorkshire. We will also be joined by Greg Westley the new pharmaceutical lead for health and social care in Sheffield. Jo will be focusing on the following items:
- Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA): context and update
- Medicines use for vulnerable housebound people in receipt of social care
Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment
The PNA has been conducted with the aim of evaluating whether pharmaceutical service provision in Sheffield is in line with current and future population health needs.
As part of the PNA development process, there is a 60-day consultation on the draft document.
