Urgent dental care

In Yorkshire and the Humber there is currently a review taking place of NHS Urgent Dental Care. As part of this, a patient experience survey has been published - it asks about people's experiences of dental care that aren't life threatening, but need attention quickly. This includes:

  • Severe toothache or face pain which isn't helped by regular pain killers
  • Infection or swelling in the mouth or face (as long as swelling is not affecting the throat or eye area)
  • Minor injury to mouth or teeth

Responses to the survey will help to inform improvement work across Yorkshire and the Humber. Please take 10 minutes to share your views below.

Social Care fees consultation

Sheffield City Council are consulting on proposed changes to the way they charge for Adult Social Care. The two changes involve:

1 - Increasing the maximum charge for non-residential care services.

2 - Introducing an annual fee for arranging, monitoring and administrating care.

These changes will affect full-fee payers who receive care in their own homes, but anyone can have their say in the consultation.

Take the survey on the Have Your Say Sheffield site below. The survey closes on 9 November 2025.
