Health and Wellbeing Forum

Our Health & Wellbeing Forums bring together members of the public with colleagues from all sectors. We discuss important topics affecting the health & wellbeing of local people, and how we can work together to create change.

This is a forum for attendees to:

  • Hear updates on key health & social care issues
  • Share your ideas & views to influence policy makers
  • Network with others from the public, private, voluntary & community sectors
  • Share information about relevant news & events

What have we been focusing on?

Our latest Forum was planned for March 2020 and was about the Dementia pathway - the journey that people with dementia and their families take from diagnosis, through information provision and statutory and voluntary support organisations. This event had to be cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions but we hope to set up planning again as soon as we can.

The Dementia event marks the 'ageing well' part of our Health & Wellbeing Forum journey; our previous event focused on 'living well', where we looked at the impact of financial pressure on health and wellbeing. Read about it here.

Looking for our VCF Forum?

Our Health & Wellbeing Forum is the evolution of our long-running Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector (VCF) Forum. We know that it’s increasingly important to be working with a cross-sector approach, so we’ve decided to open the doors further.

If you want to find out more about our VCF Forums over the previous years, you can still find these here. They cover a range of topics from loneliness, mental health, Continuing Healthcare assessments, and local government Scrutiny.
